Summer Residency – Call for applications

WAA Residency invites applications from recent art school graduates for a one-month sponsored studio residency in May 2015.

Deadline: March 31, 2015

Eligibility: Current final year masters students and students who graduated in 2014 may apply

Residency dates: May 1 – May 31, 2015

Programme details: WAA Residency will be hosting 1 recent art school graduate in May at 1 studio. The goal of the programme is to provide studio space to recent graduates to pursue and continue their practice once out of art school.

Application process: Please submit the following documents by March 31 by email to projects@whataboutart.net. Please write ‘Summer Residency’ in the subject line.

1. C.V.

2. Statement about your work and interest

3. 10-20 images of your work

Please note that the residency includes only the studio space. The artist is responsible for all other expenses of food, accommodation, material etc. Centrally located in Bandra west, the studio space is 20 – 25 sq feet. WAA has 3 other studios in the same building occupied by the other residency artists.

Please write to projects@whataboutart.net if you have questions. The selected applicants will be notified by email in the first week of April.

    I emailed you guys at projects@whataboutart.net yesterday for the summer residency but the email couldn’t go through, I tried several times but there was an error, the message said –
    ” I’m sorry to have to inform you that your message could not
    be delivered to one or more recipients. It’s attached below.

    So I have sent you a private message on fb with the link to my google drive containing the documents needed for the summer residency.
