Architecture speaks through different visual medium.

WAA residency hosted three artists in the month of September whose visual art practice streamed from their interest and study of Architecture.

Adrien Rousseau graduated from National School of Landscape Versailles, France. His artistic practice uses the medium of drawing a mix between art and landscape which questions our relation to the natural/artificial environment. His approach is based on a fragmentary and fragmented view of the changing world

Moira’s principal topics of interest are the racial and gendered dimension of migrant labour in the global context and in urban spaces, she is furthermore interested in questions of the autobiographical and the circulation and politics of images that form identity.

Her research trip to India focused on the works of Charles Correa, and his low cost housing project at CBD Belapur.

Towards the end of her residency, Moira presented her work and gave us a short insight into her research on the community spaces and housing projects in Mumbai and North india.
